The Vortex is a shared healing and community space created for connection, growth, and transformation. It’s home to Metaphysical Margie and Lakeside Mama Healing Services. Offering individual healing sessions, classes, workshops and special events. The space is also available for other healers, teachers, and practitioners to rent— whether you need a private space for one-on-one sessions or a welcoming place to host your own class or gathering.
How The Vortex Got it’s Name
The Vortex was inspired by two very special places that hold a little magic and deep meaning for both of us.
One is the beautiful Anna Maria Island in Florida, a place we both discovered and felt a connection to. The other is much closer to home, nestled in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, near the Sacred Tree, where we shared a powerful group meditation within a vortex of energy.
Though these places are miles apart, both have left a lasting impression on us. They represent connection, transformation, and the beautiful ways energy brings people and experiences together.
So when it came time to name the space we were creating together, The Vortex just felt right.
To us, a vortex represents a place where energy gathers, moves, connects, and creates change. And that’s exactly what we envision for this space.
A place where different paths cross, people connect, healing happens, knowledge is shared, and everyone is welcome to explore their own journey. A place where you may just find yourself exactly where you’re meant to be.
What began as two meaningful places that we each hold close to our hearts has now become something we get to create and share with our own community.
Breakthrough Healing Classes

Begin your Reiki journey with usui Reiki Level 1, an introductory training focused on self-healing. energetic awareness, and the foundations of Reiki energy, hand positions, chakra and energy basics, and techniques for offering Reiki to themselves and others.
This training has two pre-recorded classes and a pre-requisite is required prior to the day of the in person training. You will receive level 1 attunement, hands on practice, and the foundational tools you need to begin confidently incorporating Reiki into your everyday life.
No prior Reiki training or healing experience is required_ just an open heart and willingness to learn.
